How can you make a difference in people’s lives?
This position provides leadership, support, and oversight for all elements of the clinical work at our Project Eden program, including training & skill development, coaching, performance feedback, and enforcement of program rules. This position ensures adherence to all program and agency’s policies and procedures and assists Program Manager to develop and deliver high quality client care in accordance with Horizon Services standards and applicable federal, state, and county regulations. This is a supervisory and therapist hybrid position. This position will provide direct client services such as completing assessments, intakes, individual, family and group counseling, crisis support, educational trainings to school-based providers, as well as provide supervisory support such as documentation review, approval, curriculum development and clinical development.

 What will make you successful in this role?
Serve as designated LPHA (Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts)
Provide on-call consultation and support for supervisees as needed
Be flexible and willing to support other Project Eden program needs such as assessments, intakes, clinical supervision and oversight
Collaborate with the compliance team, operations team, clinical team on ensuring documentation standards are met for the program
Provide direct counseling services, group, family sessions, educational trainings to clients support systems (i.e., family, school).
Be a self-starter and confident in presentation skills to support clinical trainings and curriculum design initiatives

Minimum requirements:
  • Must have a valid California licensure in LMFT, PsyD, LCSW, LPCC
  • Must provide proof of BBS approved supervisory status
  • Must be licensed for at least 2 years
  • Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and car insurance.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certificates are desirable.
  • Fingerprinting/drug testing required at time of hire.
  • TB Test
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Tagalog  
Basic Onsite Requirements:
  • Must be able to drive to and from work
  • Must be able to work 5 days per week in outpatient site(s)
    •  [i.e., Adult and Youth Outpatient] and or assigned school site(s)
Preferred:
  • Has prior experience working in school-based settings and outpatient clinics
  • Has prior experience working with SUD focused populations
  • Familiar with school-based COST team meetings
  • Familiar with Medi-Cal Fee for Service billing services
  • Familiar with Alameda County EHR systems (i.e., Clinicians Gateway) and billing systems
  • Versed in and has prior experience with evidence-based interventions (i.e., Motivational interviewing, Crises Intervention, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, Trauma Informed CBT, Psychoeducation).
  • Is familiar with Measurement Based Care processes and questionnaires (i.e., PHQ9, GAD7, CPSS)
Core Competencies and Expectations



Direct Service Responsibilities (21-25 hours per week)
  • Will hold a caseload of 10-15 individual distinct clients in the outpatient clinic and or assigned school location
    • Holds 1:1 weekly sessions per client for up to 15 clients per week
    • Bills 5-6 hours per day of medical billing per day
    • 1:1 family sessions per clinical appropriateness (1-3 times / month per client)
    • Holds Case Management sessions every week for every client
    • Holds Family Group Process sessions 1 x / per week for Youth and Adults
    • Holds Skills Training Group for Youth / Adult as needed (1 x / Week)
    • Conducts clinical assessments and intakes for the Adult and Youth Outpatient department upon clinical need (up to 6 intakes per week)
    • Ensures timely completion of client documentation and submission and meets all Board of Behavioral Sciences guidelines for documentation compliance
    • For youth clients, attends school-based COST meetings
    • Implements weekly measurement-based care initiatives (i.e., PHQ9, GAD7, CPSS)
    • Remains current with CEU’s and Valid licensure requirements

Supervisor Responsibilities (10-20 hours per week)
  • Able to create clinical curriculum per guidance and collaboration of senior leadership (CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Family therapy, Motivational Interviewing)
  • Trains SUD counselors and clinical team members on curriculum content and delivery methods including measurement-based care implementation concepts and initiatives
  • Completes Medical Necessities (up to 10 per week)
  • Reviews and approves clinical documentation of SUD Counselors, Associate or Intern level clinicians (I.e., AMFT, AMSW, APCC, BBS Registered Interns, SUD Counselors)
  • Participates in and supports team with county and State level audit processes and requirements
  • Provides office hours or 1:1 clinical supervision or training per need of team (up to 5 hours / week)
  • Supports counselors and therapists on effective and appropriate documentation
  • Attends county weekly or monthly provider remote and onsite meetings
  • Attends HSI leadership meetings and trainings

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. Available for a full-time position.
